Understanding Network Marketing As A Real Business, Not A Magic Underground Cash Machine
Network marketing is not a new business system. There are many old, established, and well known companies that have always worked on a network marketing basis. Mary Kay, Avon, and a host of other companies have been around forever. Some new faces in network marketing include Tastefully Simple, Park Lane, and Herbalife.
Network marketing business is a business system that grows due to its workers earning money not only from their sale of products, but also due to their earning money from enlisting people to sell these products as well. Variations on this business model have crept up in the last couple years and refer to themselves as network marketing, but this basic definition is still the best for understanding network marketing.
The internet has changed network marketing quite a bit. It used to be that network marketing meant that people undoubtedly expected to work very hard to create their business and earn the trust and respect of other workers that they recruited.
But the internet has changed the way all methods of business are done, and network marketing is no different. There are so many new products and programs out there trying to convince perfect strangers that they are some sort of underground cash machine or print money system, insert your information and watch the paychecks roll in!
This method of persuading new people to join your downline has created a whole new group of scam artists as well. People are giving network marketing a terrible reputation by using the guise of network marketing to get people to give them for a program that has no reputable product, and rather gain money simply from recruiting new salespeople.
It is important that people understand that network marketing is not some magic print money system. It is a genuine method of business that people work in because they believe in their products, and they believe in the company.
And those who work in network marketing and who wish to use the internet as a method of expanding their business should understand that marketing it as some sort of underground cash machine is not helpful to network marketing as a whole.
Besides, it is in no ones best interest to recruit new people to your downline based on empty promises and misguided desires for wealth without effort. Those who are successful in network marketing understand that the best success comes from recruiting people who are willing to do the work and expand the company to the benefit of all involved.
